we have created LAKE GARDA 42

From 08 - 10 May, LAKE GARDA 42 - EditionZero took place on the northern shores of Lake Garda, a unique marathon experience in a small group that put a smile on everyone's face.

09 May 2021: Clear skies, a pleasant breeze and beautiful views - the EditionZero could not have had a better setting. At a relaxed pace and without any competitive aspirations, our 14 runners, who had previously been selected by us via an application process to take part in the exclusive marathon event, followed the original route of the marathon. After starting on the iconic lakeshore of Limone sul Garda, the runners passed Riva del Garda and then made their way towards Arco, past Torbole and along the lakeshore to the finish in Malcesine, where the group was welcomed at the historic Palazzo dei Capitani for a reward and final refreshment. Along the route there were refreshment points and small breaks so that the runners could refresh themselves and enjoy the brilliant weather conditions.

The day before the marathon, the runners had the opportunity to get to know each other in joint activities and get in the mood for a great weekend, also thanks to the cooperation with partners. After their arrival, they got to learn about the production of beer on a guided tour through the Birra Impavida brewery and prepare their muscles for the upcoming marathon with a special warm-up programme from Blackroll afterwards. The many moments spent together created a real team spirit, which helped to forge a strong bond between the runners and made them even more excited about taking part in the race.

With the EditionZero, some lucky runners already had a small taste of what will be the heart of LAKE GARDA 42 2022: an event with strong emotions, characterised by an exciting and unique course, a touch of festive spirit and a shared passion for running!
